THIS IS NOT TRUE!

- That might have been good advice for yesteryear's cars but is less so today.

- Modern engines warm up more quickly when they're driven.

- The sooner they warm up, the sooner they reach maximum efficiency and deliver the best fuel economy and performance. But don't rev the engine high over the first few miles while it's warming up. 

Can A Spare Tire Be Use Driving Fast And A Logn Period

Is it true that you can drive as fast and as long on a temporary or compact spare tire as you can on a regular tire.

THIS IS NOT TRUE!

- In general, all-season tires are the best tires for year-round usage.
- However, if you live in an area that receives little plowing or heavy snow, you should consider switching to a snow tire during the winter.

- A battery acts as a voltage stabilizer or filter to the pulsating DC produced by the alternator. 

- Disconnecting a battery while the engine is running can destroy the sensitive electronic components connected to the electrical system.

- In the 1970s, removing a battery terminal was an accepted practice to test charging systems of that era. That is not the case today.

Steel-Belting In Radial Tires Prevents Punctures

Does steel-belting in radial tires prevents punctures and flats from nails, glass and other debris?

- Any pneumatic tire can be punctured and lose air.
 - While steel-belted tires are durable, they are not indestructible.
- Avoid road debris and visually check your tires regularly to catch air-loss problems.
